I’m so sore. It hurts to walk but we went to Rego Park for a test today. Oh Saturday, we got our rings NYS Priddis. It will always help me remember here. I guess I’ll feel like a pimp daddy back home.

For the Time Will Come When They Will Not Endure Sound Doctrine
Question: “Do you not believe that God inspired the early leaders of this country in the formation of this great nation?”
Answer: “I find no evidence in my studies of God’s hand directing the affairs of mankind in any age.”
Question: “With such a philosophy, how do you stand in front of your congregation each week and teach Christian doctrine?”
Answer: “Oh, it is not difficult. I gather together a representative group of the congregation and whatever is the consensus of this group, this is what I preach.”

The Laws of God by President N. Eldon Tanner
A talk by N Eldon Tanner – The Laws of God – Some time ago a young man said to me, “Why do we have so many laws and rules and regulations? Why can’t we just be free to do what we want to do? The Church teaches that man is that he might have joy, and that the greatest gift of God to man is free agency.”
The Holy War – Utah vs BYU Football Game
Today is the day. The Utah Utes are playing the undefeated BYU Cougars. Honestly, it could go either way. Utah could win and knock BYU out of its top 10 in the national ranking, currently ranked number 9. Or, BYU’s Cinderella season could continue.

Honestly, I don’t think anyone knew who would win. I didn’t. I hoped Trump would win, but I knew that Harris was just as capable of winning.

This Is The Christ
Today, we sang the song “This Is the Christ” as the opening song in Sacrament Meeting. I must admit, I felt like I was singing an LDS pop song. It just didn’t feel like a hymn. I love the song; it is one of the best LDS songs ever written. […]
How did I do this week? November 3, 2024
Wow, where do I even begin? Life has its ups and downs. It has seasons of ease and difficulty, and sometimes those seasons are prolonged. Let me make a list of the things going on. Work is work. During the holidays, you just expect to work a little harder and […]
A Political Voice
I wrote a post a while back detailing my efforts to stop immersing myself in politics. I’ve done well… until recently. I allowed myself to get worked up about the Utah gubernatorial race and posted my position on Facebook. I felt strong, angry, and motivated in the moment. It didn’t […]
Dallas Jenkins – BYU Speeches – Five Loaves and Two Fishes
Dallas Jenkins of The Chosen spoke at the Tuesday BYU Devotional. He shared a very inspiring talk about failure and turning your life over to God. Five Loaves and Two Fishes. There is only so much you can do, and the Lord does the rest. The message is well worth 30 minutes of your time.
