March 15, 1995, Saturday
Well, a GA came to speak with us, kinda GA and Area Authority. I guess they’re a little below [an] area reps. But he talked to us about the Oath and Covenant of the Priesthood. To the elders. And then to the whole mission later. It was a very excellent meeting. I liked it. After the meeting, he had to say a few more words. He told us that Priesthood Leadership would come out of this mission. Wow, he said it President Bailey said it. My stake president said it twice. Bailey more than once. Wow. I wonder what they have seen and know. He told us about when President Kimball was learning to follow the spirit and he said he would write down the difficult promptings and look for the pattern to follow. So he really knew. I guess it’s something I must do also. So I know always to follow and do when prompted.
March 16, 1997, Sunday
Well, Nitza went to church again. She looked good and got pissed at Ernesto. He wasn’t going to. I Chewed him out on the phone. You promised me twice. I’m not giving you a third time. He came. Our Zone had 7 baptisms today and we’re set up for a lot midweek. I have one for Monday hopefully we can get Ernesto to it. Nice wow, we’re now at 14, we need 36 to break the record. It’s gonna get crazy. Oh ya, 22 more and there are 6-8 for before Sunday. If we can get a family of 4 for Sunday we’ll be stoked, oh ya.
March 17, 1997, Monday
What a day. We started off with a train finding in the morning and we had great success. We found some bomb people then we came home and prepared and headed out. We went to our baptism’s home and read and taught her sister about baptism. She was way cool. But just had a baby and won’t leave the house so we’ll see. Then we went and ate la bandera dominicana. Yumm.
March 20, 1997, Thursday
Wow, I’m so sore. It hurts to walk but we went to Rego Park for a test today. Oh Saturday, we got our rings NYS Priddis. It will always help me remember here. I guess I’ll feel like a pimp daddy back home. We taught a few people today. A few hum. People. Yippy Yippy Joy Joy. We’re at 17. The next closest in the mission is Rego Park and Dyker Heights with 13 each. Bushwick is at 11. It’s a race and we have 5 solid for Sunday. […] Hopefully at least 4.
March 21, 1997, Friday
Wow, Zome Meeting today was…. Cool. We played dodgeball. Fun. That was about the extent of it. I can’t remember anything else that happened. It being Monday, but we did talk to Emma and family. We’ve been teaching and so we’ll need to help them out (get baptized) they’re planning on this Sunday. Cool.
