. The thing is that she had the same dream twice. The first and second time we visited them. She said she was standing in clouds and then she saw Joseph Smith and behind him were the twelve apostles and Joseph was asking her why don’t you repent? Please repent of all your sins. Let them go. And then they all broke into praising Jesus Christ saying Hallelujah and blessing his name.

One of the greatest experiences of my life was serving an LDS mission in the New York New York South mission. I had the privilege of spending many months in Brooklyn and Queens. It was a gift to daily admire the grandeur of the New York City skyline.

After this energetic day, I prayed for families, and we went to see an appointment and they weren’t home. But there was a man on the next porch over (missing his left arm). I watched him.

My companion talks about sex, about every girl, swears all day long and gets very pissy if he doesn’t have food in his stomach. I don’t fit in too well with these missionaries.

Well, yesterday was Manhattan Day, wow. It’s a cool place. Big. Busy. I went and saw Le Misérables. It was killer and went to the top of the Empire State Building. The night before we spent in Flushing. After our trip to Manhattan, I went to Flushing to pick up our stuff. I got there and waited for my companion to call. They [him and his buddy] were going to have a baptism I thought at 7:30.

This was an interesting time for me. It was like a tug of war on my soul. It was exciting to be a Spanish missionary; or at least the thought of becoming one. I went through a lot of highs and lows in the process of switching from English to Spanish.
