Here are my notes from the Saturday Morning Session of the October 2024 General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I don’t anticipate being able to record everything, but I will share my initial thoughts on the different talks. Either way, I am truly looking forward to being spiritually fed today.
As I was praying this morning, I thought of the phrase that said “hope for a better world.” The world often focuses on “World Peace.” It often seems the world wants the slogan, but not the actual world peace. It caused me to think though… what is or would be a “better world?”
The real goal is heeding and following every prompting from the Holy Ghost.
Brother Porter starts by illustrating how the human body uses growth hormones created by endocrine glands to tell the body what to grow. Only certain cells can receive these messages and need interceptors to in a sense receive the messages or hormones created by the endocrine glands. The human body truly is miraculous. Our bodies and spirits are much like these cells. We need to develop spiritual receptors to receive the messages of the Holy Ghost.
I was welcomed into a new world of mental health this week.
