So, each night, in the bedroom I shared with two of my brothers, I turned on the light above my bed and read a chapter in the Book of Mormon. Then, turning off the light, I slipped out of my bed onto my knees and prayed. I prayed more sincerely and with greater desire than I ever had before. I asked Heavenly Father to please let me know of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon.

How did I do this week? July 6, 2024
Well, it feels like I am healing. I can walk again. I can lift my leg again. I am not in excruciating pain anymore. I must say modern medicine is a miracle. I thank God I was able to have this surgery done. Otherwise, at some point, I would have ended up like the beggar at the pool of Bethesda.
O That I Were An Angel
If I were an Angel I would rise up and declare there is a God in heaven. I would tell them he lives and we are his children, his creations. We were created in his image. The God of heaven and earth desires for us to Follow Him; repent, be baptized, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Walk no more in darkness and sin. He loves you and He desires to heal you.

“Protect the private times of your life,” he said. “You know those moments of your life when you think, ‘There’s no one else around, nobody else knows what I’m doing, and nothing that I’m going to do during this moment will have any negative effect on anyone else’? You know those times?”
It Is Never Easy
It isn’t up to someone else to decide what I need to do to return to God, it is up to me. It is my path that I walk with God and the Holy Ghost. To walk that path more completely and to have that inspiration more completely, what do I need to do?

The kids asked me what the Holy Ghost feels like. I talked to them about two experiences I had this week when I felt the Holy Ghost and what if felt like to me. It went really well for once.

I’m addicted to scrolling through social media. I need to have more control over what I consume.
An Early Morning Temple Trip
I went to the Draper Utah Temple this morning and had a wonderful experience. There was a kind man that I bumped into a few times who ended up making the experience very enjoyable and spiritually uplifting.

Brother Porter starts by illustrating how the human body uses growth hormones created by endocrine glands to tell the body what to grow. Only certain cells can receive these messages and need interceptors to in a sense receive the messages or hormones created by the endocrine glands. The human body truly is miraculous. Our bodies and spirits are much like these cells. We need to develop spiritual receptors to receive the messages of the Holy Ghost.
