JAMES P. PORTER – Receiving and Recognizing the Holy Ghost
Brother Porter starts by illustrating how the human body uses growth hormones created by endocrine glands to tell the body what to grow. Only certain cells can receive these messages and need interceptors to in a sense receive the messages or hormones created by the endocrine glands. The human body truly is miraculous. Our bodies and spirits are much like these cells. We need to develop spiritual receptors to receive the messages of the Holy Ghost.
Pink Floyd
I have a favorite band of all time. It’s Pink Floyd. I believe I have spoken of them in the past. They are a love that I have carried with me from my past. Most bands I have loved in the past, I have been able to let go of. Pink Floyd on the other hand is beloved by many and is continually played here, there, and everywhere. I can’t exactly leave or turn off every setting. As a result, I listen occasionally.

We saw the snake eat today. Wow, he eats so fast, and a lot. A lot of mice. I thought that it was cool. Then we went to a baptism meeting in Midwood where we walked around and around trying to work everyone to come to the church but only ended up bashing with a lot of people.

Apocalyptic Dream
I had a dream last tonight that felt apocalyptic. I dreamed that Portland was destroyed by a nuclear attack, a massive traffic jam, people being shot. I don’t recall having had a dream like that before.
