Satan tries those we are teaching. Jessica is to be baptized next week. She was solid to come to church yesterday. Last night, there was a murder around the corner from her house. The assassins entered in her apartment building. Her husband, Jesus, was out buying milk for the baby. When he came back, he had a feeling his family was in trouble. He took the police to his apartment, where he found his small family well. He then took the doubting police to his parent’s apartment, where the assassins were found. They had bound Jesus’s family and had them at knife-point. After a confrontation with the police, the assassins were jailed. Why does Satan try so hard?

(1) While in Cheyenne, Wyoming with a broken down car, a person ahead of me in the queue paid for my tank full of gas. When I reached the counter, the clerk told me it had already been paid for. We never did find out who did it. (2) After the second breakdown, in Lincoln, Nebraska, a stranger gave up his room at the motel for us after the clerk told us she had no room for us on the second night. We never discovered his identity either. (3) When it came time to pay for the 165 mile towing bill at the repair shop, the expected $300 charge did not appear on the invoice! We suspect it was due to the gospel conversation we had with the two vehicle driver whom we believe to be the owner of the repair shop. During the trip he identified himself as a strong Methodist. (4) Finally after a long wait at the Throgs Neck toll booth, the toll collector waved us through saying the toll had been paid by the person ahead of us!
