My Body is an Aztec Temple

I watched this video produced by some guy with ADHD who was at the Democrat National Convention [DNC]. The very first question was; Democracy or Access to Abortion. The girl couldn’t make up her mind. She ended up choosing abortion over democracy.

It’s almost gut-wrenching to think that someone could prioritize the right to kill the unborn over her choice of government. But then again, maybe she is equating abortion with fundamental rights that are in her favor? That is neither here nor there. The bigger issue is, who in their right mind would prioritize the death of babies? Apparently, a lot of people. They had a traveling abortion clinic at the DNC convention. It was prescribing abortion pills and giving men vasectomies. It would be funny if it weren’t true. But it is true and we live in a topsy-turvy world.

I came across the video on X.com posted by Elon Musk. I didn’t intend to watch it but I did and it stirred a lot of emotions. I have tried to stay out of politics for the last few years, but the topic of abortion is one that I have such a hard time justifying.

After watching the video, I wanted to see what people were saying about the video so I read some of the comments. There was one I thought was perfect for the LDS community.

The comment was a meme. One girl says to another, “I’ve had like 5 abortions. I’ll start my family when I’m ready. I feel so empowered. My body is a temple.” You got it, the, “My body is a temple.” I would say this statement is closer to blasphemy than her body being a temple of the Holy Spirit. Then I saw the other girl’s statement. “Yea, an Aztec Temple.” Boom. Isn’t that true? A bloody Aztec temple with heaps of dead baby bodies that were sacrificed to dumb Gods.

This is not righteousness in any way. It mixes the religion of secularism with the belief in God. It is trying to justify and make holy the act of Abortion. Don’t be fooled.
