I’m not even sure who discovered Esdras Eagle and the parallels it had with the United States. It might have been Michael Rush. Either way, I have found it to be fascinating. From everything I can see, it parallels perfectly with the United States and other prophecies about the last days.
So, why is Esdras Eagle so important?
The answer is easy. It is happening right now. Think about all the other prophecies about the last days. So many are ambiguous. So many point to events that most people will not realize are a fulfillment of prophecy until after the fact.
Think about how Joseph Smith felt when he was translating the Book of Mormon and Joseph who was sold into Egypt prophesied there would be another Joseph in the last days who would bring salvation unto his people. Joseph Smith dictated these words while he was in the very act of fulfilling the prophecy.
15 And his name shall be called after me; and it shall be after the name of his father. And he shall be like unto me; for the thing, which the Lord shall bring forth by his hand, by the power of the Lord shall bring my people unto salvation.

Imagine being Joseph Smith and dictating those words.
Now, imagine in the last days, when there is confusion on every side. Imagine being able to pinpoint a prophecy and watch it play out just as the scriptures described. If it is being interpreted correctly, there is no other way for it to play out. That is why this prophecy is so amazing.
The laws of this nation are defined and set in motion. If this prophecy is about the United States, there are clear boundaries for it to play out. If this prophecy plays out as written by Esdras, it will be proven there is a God in Heaven and he knows the end from the beginning. I don’t say that in a way that I believe we need this evidence, but rather it time stamps the season we are in. That season is that of the final great kingdom seen in Daniels’s dream. And that beast he was not shown is an Eagle. And we are living out the later-day visions he saw.
23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

Watch it play out and Glory in God that you are alive to witness these final events take place. All generations have awaited this day. And, it is a reminder that now is the time to make sure your house is in order. Live so that you are worthy to enter Zion.
