I wrote a post the other day discussing how I realized there was nothing I could do about politics in this country. It will play out as it is supposed to play out. I am happier focusing on religion. I’m thrilled to live in a day where I can witness how events play out leading up to the end.
Yesterday Trump was found guilty by a court in New York. Some may feel a great injustice has occurred. Maybe it has. World history is full of injustice. Our future is full of injustice. The current state of politics in the United States means, that half the country will agree with it and half the country will not. Without knowing the absolute truth injustice will be the perceived outcome.
I read a comment from someone on a news article in reference to the verdict. “This is the hill to die on.”
No, it isn’t. If you are going to die on a hill for something, make sure that something is Jesus Christ. Make sure it is for the things Jesus Christ taught; honesty, virtue, love, charity, and truth. In the end, the kingdom of God will prevail, the kingdom of men will not. The kingdom of Trump will not.
Don’t get me wrong. I love America. I love freedom. I realize freedom hangs by a thread. I realize that our government can and will likely bring us into bondage. I realize that it is up to the citizens to keep their government in check. I also realize that our government is corrupt on all sides. I will end up fighting for a side that is equally intent on bringing me into bondage. Both parties are headed in the same direction, one is just traveling at a higher rate of speed.
I am better off to vote my conscience but fight for God, Jesus Christ, and truth.
One thing that causes me to marvel about this is that these events could directly relate to Esdras Eagle. One thing I can say about that is that this is not playing out as I expected. In my mind, I never saw Trump being convicted. All of a sudden there are more possible outcomes.
I see American Flags flying upside down symbolizing a nation that is in distress. America is in distress. It is morally bankrupt in almost every way. Nothing will save it but a moral people that turn their lives over to Jesus Christ.
There are a lot of people who hate Qanan. But the Qanan folks have a mantra that I think is so true. WWG1WGA – Where We Go One, We Go All. This could simply be their rallying cry to rise and fight together. More accurately in my eyes, It means we all have the same fate. We are all in the same temporal vehicle traveling in the same direction. Society will crash for everyone. A new world order will be established for everyone. Whatever it is, wherever it is, as a society we will all end up there together. It will affect everyone.
Again, the Republican and Democrat vehicles are headed in the same direction. The gospel vehicle is not. I love the quote Morgan Philpot shared about meeting Elder Faust one day. He asked whether he was a “Republican” or a “Democrat” and Elder Faust replied, “I have risen above such things.“
What will happen to Donald Trump? I don’t know. I didn’t expect him to be convicted in the first place.
