Light or truth from God; also, an eternal, uncreated being capable of growth and progression. An 1833 revelation declared, “Man was also in the beginning with God[;] intelligence or the Light of truth was not created or made,” and it acts independently. The Book of Abraham, published by JS in 1842, explained that individual intelligences existed in the presence of God, the most intelligent of all, before the creation of the world. In 1844, JS taught that “intelligence exists upon a self-existent principle”—it has “no beginning or end” and there is “no creation about it”—and that the mind, or intelligence, can progress until it becomes like God.

God is pure intelligence.
As human beings, we often feel one man or woman is more intelligent than another. We classify and rank each other by our education, degrees, age, and experience. We also make assumptions of intelligence based on someone’s ability to articulate an argument. I’m sure I have many judging my level of intelligence because of my grammar and how I structure my arguments on this blog.
Either way, when you look at the workmanship of God. Look at the miraculous way we are created and developed; through conception and genetics. The human body is one of the greatest creations. I read an article about the most detailed map of the human brain ever created. They mapped 1 cubic millimeter is all and it took years to do. They went on to say, “An accurate image of the entire human brain at scale would roughly equal the amount of data produced in the entire world in a single year, Lichtman says.” That right there is mind-blowing.
Truly God’s intelligence exceeds man’s.
I have read in many near-death experiences similar patterns. They each seem to state that each element has a spirit and a life. If the rocks, water, and trees, or even the air have this life force and radiate glory unto God, is it unnatural to think that man’s spirit existed? If every element has a spirit that obeys the command of God, is it unnatural to think that the particles that makeup man’s spirit have some connection to God?
Whether those elements combine into more intelligence or each molecule possesses its own will, I know not. Or whether my spirit or soul was created the same, by combining spiritual molecules that were organized by God into a greater intelligence, I don’t know. This I do know. There is something in my head that feels seamless. A presence or consciousness that combines with a see with what I know past present and future. All of my senses combined with a conscious intelligence make me who I am. How it was organized and how it was created I know not.
But, when I see the miracle of the human body, I realize over and over again, that there must have been a creator to organize it all. As the article above mentioned, if mapping the neurons in one human brain would take all the combined data the world produced in one year, there is a level of knowledge and intelligence that man does not have the capacity to comprehend. And that is why it is called God, and God’s intelligence is limitless.
