Boy, we had good things going but no baptisms. Suck. We fasted for 40 baptisms today and nobody could keep their fast.

It was a long hard day we taught weird people. Some punk tried to tell us to be careful walking these streets. I said, OK. I smiled of course.

I got so sick at a part member family’s house. I got way sick and had to go to the restroom. The daughter thought I was on a long vacation. I came out looking so sick and the whole house got stunk up. I made my companion leave. Bad decision. We had to walk past the battle zone. Ohh embarrassing. It wouldn’t have been so bad if they wouldn’t have been laughing. I’ve been sick. They wanted us to push for baptisms, we are at 213 for the month. We are 3 away from the record. So, we pushed with me sick as a dog. Nothing. At least we tried our best. Everyone else baptized so we’re over.

My Spanish is coming along slowly but God will help me. Today we got into a spat with two separate people. One after another. A Seventh-Day Adventist man and a Pentecostal man. They went bad. I need to do better than that. Testimony will turn hearts, not provoking or tearing them down.

Today we went to a house late to visit a girl we wanted to get baptized. Her name is Elle (like the magazine). So, when we got there, she and all her relatives were praying for someone who died four months earlier. It was weird. So, we left and came back. They were just finishing praying. We got there just in time to get water splashed on our hands from a rose dipped in holy water. Then they started singing a religious song they all seemed to know, then started hugging and kissing. After all the people left, we talked to Elle and another person. My companion rocked one of their testimonies about praying to idols. While talking to them, a TV program on their country came and they said excitedly, this is my country. So, we watched to see what it was like. Next thing you know ladies are walking around without tops on. I got very embarrassed. So, I wouldn’t look. Then I made a mistake and thought it was over. But it wasn’t. That time I said let’s go. We blazed out of there fast. It was so bad.

We baptized 2 today. It was excellent. We had 20 people to pick up for church and everyone fell through except for one family. So we baptized them. It was cool. I walked a lot today but slacked at the end. I was so tired; I should have gone the second mile and didn’t.
