Mission Thoughts – 911

One of the greatest experiences of my life was serving an LDS mission in the New York New York South mission. I had the privilege of spending many months in Brooklyn and Queens. It was a gift to daily admire the grandeur of the New York City skyline.

Two of my favorite areas were Dyker Heights / Sunset Park and Williamsburg / Bushwick. You always had these amazing views of the southern tip of Manhattan and the Twin Towers. On a few occasions we wandered over to the Brooklyn Bridge. The memories have been priceless.

It was truly an amazing experience. I gained a deep love for the city, the people, and these amazing towers while I was there. (95-97) It was heartbreaking to watch the towers fall.
